vivo respects your privacy and personal data and will do our best to protect your privacy and personal data during your use of this Service. To ensure the accuracy of notes as well as to improve the quality of this Service, we will collect, analyze, and process the information below with the following purposes:
1.1 Core features
Some features (including Jovi Vision, AI services, vivo Docs, and Calendar) require support from underlying system capabilities. We need to collect the version numbers of these apps to identify whether they are compatible with this Service and help you make edits by accessing your clipboard information (which will be identified locally without being uploaded to our server). See below for the information collection rules of each feature:
Note: The device identifiers (such as the IMEI) will only be requested on phones running Android versions earlier than 10.

2. Sharing, passing on, and transfer of personal information
We will only share your personal information under the following circumstances:
1) Sharing with specified third parties. With your explicit consent, we will share your personal information with the specified third parties within the scope of your authorization.
2) Share with specific organizations as required by law. According to relevant laws and regulations, we need to provide your personal information to assist in investigations.
3) Sharing with business partners. When you choose the services jointly provided by us and our business partners, to ensure the services work properly, we will share your personal information with our business partners on a legitimate, reasonable, and necessary basis. Our business partners may include various technical service providers, content providers, and other providers.
4) Sharing with business stakeholders. In order to maintain risk control and business operation, we will share your relevant information with our stakeholders.

3. Personal information management
3.1 Query, deletion, and modification
3.1.1 The information recorded in Origin Notes is stored on your device. You can edit, modify, and delete your notes, as well as manage the generation and storage of such information via relevant service settings. If you find any errors in the recorded information, you can open the Origin Notes app at any time to manually edit and correct relevant information to improve the accuracy of the information recorded.
3.1.2 You can query and modify synced information on relevant Origin Notes pages.
3.2 Withdrawal of authorization
3.2.1 If Also Save Audio is enabled, your audio messages will be saved on your device. If Automatically Add Location Information is enabled, your location information will also be displayed on the current page. The location information in this Service will not be collected or uploaded to our server. None of the uploaded audio messages will be stored on the server after parsing is completed. If Data Sync is enabled, the data stored on your device will be synced to the cloud. You can disable certain services or permissions to manage the storage of such information. When the services or permissions are disabled, such information will no longer be stored or displayed.
3.2.2 For features without a specific management path, you can request the execution of your rights by calling our customer service at 95033, visiting https://www.vivo.com to contact our online service agents, or sending an email to privacy@vivo.com.
3.3 Account management and deletion
By tapping your profile picture, you can go to account settings to access, modify, or delete your personal information such as your vivo account, profile picture, and nickname, your security phone number or security email address, and other information. You can also request to delete your account on this page.
4. Personal information protection
The aforementioned personal information collected or uploaded will be stored within the People's Republic of China and will be anonymized or deleted after the relevant service feature is completed. For matters not covered by this Privacy Policy, such as information security and execution of personal information rights, please refer to the vivo Privacy Policy at https://www.vivo.com.cn/about-vivo/privacy-policy.
5. Protection of minors' personal information
Please understand that our services are mainly provided for adults. Minors need to obtain their guardians' consent to use this Service. If your guardians do not permit your use of this Service, they can request us to delete your personal information collected.
6. Updates to this Policy
vivo reserves the right to update or modify this Policy from time to time. vivo shall notify you of the updates or modifications as well as where you can view them via pop-up windows.
7. How we store and protect your personal information
In order to comply with laws and regulations as well as regulatory requirements and make it easier for you to check your personal information, we will store the necessary information provided by you or generated during your use of this Service. We will implement physical or logical isolation mechanisms to store your general personal information separately from your sensitive personal information. We will use security measures such as encryption to protect your sensitive personal information.
(I) Storage location
Your personal information that is collected or generated in China will be stored on our server located within China. If in the future some services involve cross-border business and require the transfer of your personal information to an institution outside China (overseas institution), we will conduct a prior security assessment in accordance with laws and regulations as well as regulatory requirements, explain to you the purpose of cross-border transfer, the type of personal information involved, the identity and data security capability of the recipient, and possible security risks, and obtain your prior consent. We will also clarify the obligations and responsibilities of the parties involved through agreements, supervision and verification mechanisms, security audits, and other effective measures and require the overseas institution to keep the personal information it receives confidential.
(II) Retention period and data processing after expiration
We will store the information you provide and generate when using this Service in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Law and the Cybersecurity Law. We will retain your personal information for the minimum period needed to fulfill the purposes as described in this Privacy Policy (with consideration of the requirement for network log retention time, statute of limitations, and other factors), unless otherwise specified by laws and regulations. When the retention period for your personal information expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal information.
In addition, we will protect your personal information with reasonable security precautions and programs, including but not limited to security checks and encryption tools and software. If we stop operating this Service or if you stop using this Service, we will no longer collect or use any of your information, and we will anonymize or delete the information we store.
8. Security of your information and data and measures taken to protect them
To protect the integrity of the network, the vivo IT data network has taken the following measures (including but not limited to): security checks, encryption tools and software, and other appropriate security measures and procedures. Only network administrators and relevant personnel with a need to use the data have internal access. If vivo learns that the security of the vivo IT data network is compromised or users' non-public information is disclosed to irrelevant third parties due to external actions (including but not limited to external security attacks), notwithstanding other regulations in this Privacy Policy, vivo shall still take any measures they deem as appropriate, including but not limited to internal investigations, reporting to law enforcement agencies, and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
For the purpose of protecting the system or services and network security, vivo shall reserve the right to disclose the information contained in the access log of any users, especially when users violate current or future terms of use or other published principles, or when users initiate or participate in (or are reasonably assumed to have initiated or participated in) any illegal activities.
