Get the following information from the other driver:

  1. Name(s) and phone number
  2. Driver's license number
  3. License plate number
  4. Insurance information, including policy number

If it is safe to do so, consider capturing some other accident details:

  1. If there are witnesses at the scene, we recommend asking for their contact information
  2. Take photos or videos of the damage on your vehicle and of the accident scene
  3. Document the scene of the accident (such as the major intersection/road conditions)
  4. If possible take photos to show the position of the other vehicle(s) involved
